Amy Sanderson Flowers creates custom florals for weddings and events. We are inspired by the movement, abundance and serendipity of gardens and the natural landscape, and intentionally incorporate seasonal, local materials wherever possible. From lush centrepieces to trailing bouquets, we want to help you bring meaning and beauty to your special occasion.
Amy grew up in Edmonton, growing and arranging her own flowers. Eventually she moved to New York City to attend law school and work as a lawyer. Long captivated by the Brooklyn flower scene, she took the opportunity to train under leading florists and regularly visit the 28th street flower market. Numerous garden trips up and down the East Coast also fueled her passion for unusual plants. Upon moving back to Canada, she opened Amy Sanderson Flowers. She looks forward to finding the perfect blooms and adding a hint of botanic interest to bring your dream to life.
When not making flowers you can most often find Amy gardening. She recently spent two years studying in English gardens, including at Beth Chatto’s and Great Dixter, and is in the process of beginning a new garden and small nursery on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island.
